Partners
The Ride has great participants who each have a history of working in the community. Fighting
against HIV/AIDS and educating people about the disease is the basic goal that
brings this group together.
Each participating organization is registered with the
IRS as a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organization. Contributions to the Ride
are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law, so know that you contribution
will go to a worth cause.

Brother to Brother Sister
to Sister United, Inc. (BBSSU)
BBSSU, a nonprofit cycling club and event organizer, foundered by
Wallace Corbett by AIDS activist Wallace Corbett 12 years ago, BBSSU is
primarily an African American cycling club whose members and
friends have raised over $1,000,000 for HIV/AIDS service organizations
that provide assistance and education about the disease within the
Washington, DC metropolitan areas traditionally underserved. |

Futures

Building Futures' mission is to increase access to safe, affordable quality housing for families, children and individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Washington, DC . This provides a foundation for building dignified, stable, and healthy lives and futures. We deliver comprehensive housing and case management services that will allow families living with HIV/AIDS to stay together as a family unit and individuals to live in safe and affordable housing. Proceeds from the ride will support our newest project, a 30-unit property in the heart of the thriving Columbia Heights neighborhood. |

Children’s National Medical Center -
Teen Life Clubs 111 Michigan Avenue, NW

The HIV Services Adolescent Prevention Education Programs at Children's National Medical Center (CNMC)- Teens Against the Spread of AIDS (TASA), Teens with Negative Tests (TNT), Teen Life Clubs (TLC), Teen Talk, waiting room education and community-based workshops provide creative short and long-term interventions which facilitate the continuum of care for patients and DC area youth in order for them to make informed and responsible decisions about their health.
We do this through comprehensive life-skill education, training, support and advocacy services and partnerships with youth-serving organizations who share our vision of advancing the positive development and quality of life for preteens, adolescents and their families. |

Damien

Inspired by the life of Blessed Damien of Molokai, Damien Ministries
seeks to reach out to those people living with HIV and AIDS whose needs
are not met by other social service agencies. Through its ministries of
prayer, communal support, pastoral care, advocacy and direct services,
Damien Ministries works to create a sense of belonging and community.
At Damien Ministries various services are offered for individuals with
HIV/AIDS, including case management, food, support and a place to be
with others. Damien Ministries currently provides services to over
1,000 HIV+ men, women and children. |

Along with nutrition counseling, Food and Friends prepares, packages
and delivers meals and groceries to more than 1,350 people living with
HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses throughout
Washington, DC, 7 counties of Maryland and 7 counties and 6 independent
cities in Virginia. Since 1988, Food & Friends has provided food
and companionship to our clients, their loved ones and caregivers. |

Metro TeenAIDS is a community health organization dedicated to supporting young people in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Through education, support, and advocacy, MTA works to prevent the spread of HIV, promote responsible decision making, and improve the quality of life for young people infected with, or affected by, HIV/AIDS. |

AIDS/HIV Care

Pediatric AIDS/HIV Care, Inc. works to preserve, assist and strengthen
the well-being of children ages 5-18 infected and affected by HIV/AIDS
in metropolitan Washington, DC. We are the only organization in the DC
area devoted exclusively to vital support services for children and
adolescents living with HIV/AIDS. Our comprehensive range of
psychosocial services was designed in response to the complex needs and
wishes of the person. |

Reaching Inside for Self-Esteem (RISE)

RISE is a community based non-profit organization that provides
out-of-school time services, youth prevention services and HIV/AIDS
outreach prevention education in under served communities in Wards 6, 7
and 8 in Washington DC. RISE is committed to helping our community heal
itself from the ravages of poverty by empowering individuals with the
necessary tools to change their lives!
